Great cozy bar, great prepared food, went out with some friend for dinner hang out gand kind of think... What a surprise, great food, server was very attentive and drinks spot on.
Gotta get the Turkey BLT it’s truly divine. The fish and chips is also very nice, would recommend. The drinks are nice, got sangria and nantucket lemonade. Dessert is a bit of an afterthought would pass next time. Observation: we went at an off hour and the host was also our server. Don’t know if that’s always the case but it seemed to (understandably) slow things down a bit but not too bad.
Hill Tavern is a local pub that have a bunch of beers on tap, lots of things canned, and really good food. They have seating inside and outside, with music playing and a really friendly staff. Quick service, good prices and great taste means a good experience here. Anything pulled pork is really good, and tater tots over fries here for sure.
Bartender Grace was grace-ious and attentive. The server Cait played the harmonica which was cool. Wasn't too busy at 2:00. Steak bomb was delicious. All around will come back.
Incredible sandwich and tacos, solid fries, wonderful tavern atmosphere
Delicious food, generous portion, and great ambiance. We went there for a late dinner. Arrived there and couldn’t believe they open till 2 AM daily!! There were around 5 people when we arrived and around 10 when we left at around 11 PM. Lots of TV showing sport programs and music wasn’t too loud. Typical tavern feel with lots of wooden interiors. Expansive food and beverage menu. Lots of options for beer on the tap. But this night we didn’t drink so can’t really comment on that. But boy, the food was delicious and the portion was generous! We ordered clam chowder, wings, caesar salad, and shrimp risotto. Usually we don’t waste food, but today around 20% if the salad we couldn’t finish. Service was good and quick. Would definitely recommend this place!!
We went there as a group of 5. We all commented on the food. It was very good. Our waitress was very good also. We will return.
I sat at the bar and it did take a while for me to be attended too. The gal behind the bar didn’t look too thrilled when taking my order. Sort of like a dry personality. But then came this bald head guy, I don’t know his name, but he’s in one of the photos...absolutely WOW. He’s the SOLE reason why I am given this review a 5. As you very well know, I am all about the customer experience. This guy didn’t skip a beat and took very good care of me. The burger and sweet potato fries were your standard burger and fries, as a burger aficionado, but the steak and cheese egg roll were mind blowing. Absolutely delicious! Would I go back for a burger and fries, I would. It was a pretty cool spot with outside dining. The place is literally across the street from Mass General Hospital. The only thing I felt that needed some TLC was the bathrooms. It looks like it’s seen better days.
